Amsterdam gives you bachata five nights a week, and three of the weekly socials are completely free. Café Restaurant De Kroon runs a free Latin night twice a week on Rembrandtplein, Bar Twenty Two hosts a free bachata social every Monday on Leidseplein, and Friday brings a choice between Club Mystique's long-running Salsa Cafe and a late-night party at Restaurant Cancún. The door prices we track range from free to 5 euros.
Every event in this guide comes from our Amsterdam bachata listings, with the days, start times and prices we track for each venue. One thing to know up front: these are mixed Latin floors. Bachata shares the night with salsa everywhere, and depending on the venue you will also hear kizomba, merengue and reggaeton. Here is where to go, night by night.

Café Restaurant De Kroon: Free Latin Nights Twice a Week
Café Restaurant De Kroon is the easiest recommendation in this guide. The historic venue at Rembrandtplein 17 runs a free Latin night twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays from 9 pm to midnight, covering bachata, salsa, merengue and reggaeton.
The grand interior of this iconic Rembrandtplein spot is a real point of difference: you are dancing in a setting that looks nothing like a typical club night. Two nights per week and free entry make it one of the more accessible ways to dance Latin in the city. Use Wednesday to top up mid-week and Sunday to close out the weekend.
De Kroon venue detailsBar Twenty Two: Bachata on Mondays
Monday is covered by Bar Twenty Two at Leidseplein 22, home of BOM: Bachata on Mondays by CLUB22. The weekly social runs from 9 pm to midnight, entry is free, and the floor mixes bachata with salsa and kizomba in an intimate bar setting.
The crowd is genuinely mixed: beginners working on their basics dance next to regulars who come every week without fail. If you want a low-pressure start to your dance week, this is it.
Bar Twenty Two venue detailsClub Mystique: The Friday Salsa Cafe
Club Mystique on Klaprozenweg is the long-running Latin venue whose Friday Salsa Cafe is a fixture of the Dutch scene. The photo at the top of this guide is its packed floor. Every Friday from 9 pm the club runs salsa and bachata, with entry at 5 euros.
This is the only weekly night in our Amsterdam listings with an extra verification pass against the venue's own published schedule, so if you only make one Friday in the city, make it this one.
Club Mystique venue detailsRestaurant Cancún: DNA Latino on Fridays
For a later Friday, Restaurant Cancún on Veelaan hosts DNA Latino every week from 10 pm to 3 am. The night mixes salsa, bachata and kizomba with merengue and reggaeton, and the dining room of this Mexican and Caribbean restaurant is reconfigured for dancing.
Practical details worth knowing: the kitchen closes around 11 pm, the bar stays open until 3 am, and salsa lessons run on site. You can eat first, then dance until the small hours without changing address.
Restaurant Cancún venue detailsRico Latino: Thursdays Near Leidseplein
Rico Latino is a single-room Latin club near Leidseplein with one dance floor, a DJ corner and a long bar. Its Thursday night runs from 9 pm to 1 am with DJ-led salsa, bachata and kizomba, plus reggaeton and dembow mixed in.
Set your expectations on timing: the floor typically fills after midnight, so this is a night for dancers who peak late. Combined with BOM on Monday and De Kroon on Wednesday, Thursday at Rico Latino completes a solid weeknight rotation.
