Vienna has Latin social dancing every night of the week. Salsa and bachata run from Tuesday through Sunday, Monday belongs to kizomba and zouk, and covers stay modest: most weekly socials charge 5 to 7 euro, the most expensive night we track costs 10, and one midweek party is completely free. Five of the venues sit in the sixth district alone, so a short walk covers half the scene.
Everything in this guide comes from our Vienna salsa listings: which night, where, what it costs and what the DJs play. Most floors mix salsa and bachata, some add reggaeton and merengue, and one Friday venue splits the two lead styles onto separate floors so neither gets squeezed out. Here is the week, venue by venue.

Salsa House: Three Nights a Week in the 15th District
Salsa House at Märzstraße 105 is the busiest single address in our Vienna listings. The core night is Tuesday: a weekly salsa and bachata social from 8:15 to 10:30 PM for 7 euro, the only weekly salsa fixture we list on that day. Monday adds the SalsaHouse Sensual Night, a free kizomba social from 9 to 10:30 PM, and on the fourth Friday of the month the venue hosts a monthly Kizomba Party from 9 to 11:30 PM for 7 euro.
Note the finish times: both weekly nights wrap by 10:30 PM, which makes Salsa House the rare Latin social you can attend on a work night and still get a full sleep. If you are new in town, the Tuesday social is a low-commitment way to meet the community.
Salsa House venue detailsFriday Afterwork at Salsanena: Two Floors, Two Styles
Salsanena Tanzstudio at Esterházygasse 25 runs the Afterwork Salsa & Bachata Party every Friday, and it solves the classic mixed-floor problem with architecture: the first floor plays bachata all night and the second floor plays salsa all night. The party runs from 8:30 PM to midnight, entry is 5 euro, and dance classes run from 6:30 to 8:30 PM before every edition. The studio counts around 100 guests per Friday night.
The photo at the top of this guide is from Salsanena. With three dance studios in the building and both lead styles getting a dedicated floor, this is the strongest Friday opener in the city, and at 5 euro it is also one of the cheapest.
Salsanena venue detailsLento Dance: Bachata at Karlsplatz and Beyond
The Lento brand runs three regular socials. The home base is Lento Dance Vienna at Gumpendorfer Straße 67, where Lento Weekend runs every Sunday from 9 PM with salsa and bachata for 7 euro. Midweek, Lento moves to Karlsplatz: the outdoor bachata social at Chinacy am Karlsplatz runs on Wednesdays and Sundays from 9 PM, also 7 euro, dancing under the open sky in the city center.
The open-air format is seasonal. During winter the Wednesday social moves indoors to Cafe Kunsthalle am Karlsplatz, same 9 PM start and same 7 euro cover, so the midweek bachata fix survives the cold months. If bachata is your main style, Lento is the thread to follow through the Vienna week: see all bachata events in Vienna.
Lento Dance venue detailsMore Wednesday Options: Casa Mestiza and FANIALIVE
Wednesday is the deepest night on the calendar. Besides Lento at Karlsplatz, Casa Mestiza hosts the Salsa Afterwork with Mestiza every Wednesday from 8 PM on its first floor at Münzwardeingasse 2, and this one comes with a live band rather than a DJ. Entry is 8 to 10 euro. The relaxed afterwork format is aimed at dancers who want floor time without committing to a late night.
The free alternative is FANIALIVE, a compact club under the U-Bahn arches at Gürtellinie 22-23 near U6 Thaliastrasse. Its Kizomba Bachata Lounge runs every Wednesday from 9 PM until late with no cover. The central dancefloor is small and gets tight once the DJs start, so arrive early if you want space. All Wednesday events in ViennaThursday at Danzón, Saturday at Jaz in the City
Thursday belongs to Bailamos at Danzón, Johannesgasse 3 in the first district. The weekly night runs from 8 PM until late and mixes bachata, salsa, reggaeton and merengue, drawing a strong local Latin crowd to a proper dance floor in the city center.
Saturday is a hotel-bar social: Billie's Studio organizes the weekly Salsa & Bachata Social at Jaz in the City Vienna, Windmühlgasse 28 in the sixth district, from 9:30 PM to 1:30 AM for 10 euro. The dance area is compact and sits alongside the bar, and no class is attached, so come prepared to social dance from the first set.
Danzón venue detailsMore Fridays: Fanialive, JO&JOE and Mi Barrio
If Salsanena is not your Friday, Fanialive runs its weekly Tropical Party from 8 PM to midnight with bachata, salsa, reggaeton and merengue on that same tight floor under the arches. The event is billed for Friday and Saturday, so check the venue's program if you want the weekend edition.
Two monthly Fridays round out the picture. JO&JOE Wien, a social hostel concept at Europaplatz 1/6, opens its doors one Friday a month for a Latin Party from 8 PM to 2 AM, 8 euro before 9 PM and 10 euro after, with a mixed crowd of locals and travelers. Check their Instagram for which Friday before heading out. And Mi Barrio, the restaurant-bar in the same building as Casa Mestiza at Münzwardeingasse 2, hosts the Vienna Bachata Night on the third Friday of the month from 9 PM to 2 AM, with food and the bar in service during the party.
