About the instructor
Gupson Pierre, known as 'The Professor', is a dance educator and choreographer from Montreal, Canada, and Artistic Director of Attitude Dance Studio. A pioneer of the Singapore salsa scene, he is credited with helping bring mambo to Singapore and Malaysia. As DJ Guppy he plays classic salsa, mambo and cha cha at festivals across Asia and beyond, and joins the DJ lineup at the Indonesian International Latin Festival and Asia-Pacific Salsa Summit 2026 in Bali.
