About the instructor
JR Gotengco is a UKA-certified professional dance teacher from the Philippines with more than two decades of experience. He teaches salsa, bachata and kizomba and has performed and judged at events across Asia. In 2008 he won the couple salsa category at the Sapphire Ball, the Philippines National Competition, and in 2016 he was on the instructor lineup of the World Bachata Festival in Kuala Lumpur. He headlines the Indonesian International Latin Festival and Asia-Pacific Salsa Summit 2026 in Bali.
