Yanedis Martinez

Yanedis Martinez, born in 1986 in Guantanamo, Cuba, is a professional Cuban salsa dancer, choreographer and Afro-Cuban folklore instructor based in Milan, Italy. Trained as a dance instructor in Cuba, she was a soloist with the Teatro de la Danza del Caribe in Santiago de Cuba, danced in choreographer Santiago Alfonso's company and the Cabaret Tropicana in Havana, and appeared with the Cuban Television Ballet before moving to Europe in 2017. In Milan she teaches Cuban salsa, son, rumba, Afro-Cuban folklore and reggaeton at the Baila Conmigo and Phoenix Studio Dance schools, and performs with the Cubanissimo Show company. In August 2026 she leads workshops at the first edition of Salsa Festival Czech Republic in Prague.
