Salsa in Basel
Switzerland
Salsa in Basel runs three weekly socials, and all three repeat every week. Wednesday is the busiest night with two parties, and Thursday adds one more. So you can dance salsa two nights a week here, in the middle of the week rather than the weekend. The scene is small and personal, hosted in dance studios and social clubs near the center. Bachata shares the same floors on some nights, with four bachata events in the city, plus a couple of kizomba nights and one zouk social. Music leans toward classic salsa with regular Cuban rounds. Coming alone works fine; the rooms are small enough that dancers rotate partners quickly.
