Salsa in Marseille
France
Salsa in Marseille runs four nights a week, and all four are weekly socials. Tuesday is the busiest night with two parties. Thursday and Friday each add one more, so you can dance three days out of seven. The four venues sit around the city center and the Vieux-Port area. Most socials happen in bars and a rum bar rather than big clubs, so the rooms feel close and social. The scene mixes Cuban salsa with some bachata; three bachata socials run in the same city each week. Coming alone works fine, since dancers rotate partners through the night. Some nights open with a short beginner class before the social starts.
