Salsa in Santo Domingo runs six weekly socials across five venues. Friday is the busiest night with three parties, so plan your main night out then. Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday each add one more social, giving you four dancing days a week. Parties mix dance studios, bars, and historic open-air spots in the colonial center. This is a merengue and bachata city first, and the same floors often run all three styles (six bachata events share the week). Expect Cuban-flavored salsa alongside the local Dominican sound. Coming alone is normal, and dancers rotate partners freely from the start of the night.
